Kazushige Yamamoto

As a consultant working with Avanci since 2016, Yamamoto helps drive licensing for Avanci platforms in Japan. working with a range of stakeholders to support Avanci’s vision of transforming how patent licensing is done.
A technology engineer and strategist with more than 30 years of experience, Yamamoto has been at the cutting edge of the latest solutions driving wireless technology, with expertise in research and development, partner integration and verification, new business development and patent licensing.
In his previous role at Ericsson, Yamamoto built the company’s patent licensing business in Japan, and held several leadership positions in Ericsson’s mobile platform and research groups, leading teams focusing on research and development, sales and business growth. Earlier in his career, he was deeply involved in creating telecom system devices and holds 40 patents in that space.
Yamamoto received a Bachelor of Science in Electronics & Telecommunications as well as a Doctorate in Engineering from Waseda University in Tokyo. He is a member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and IEICE (Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers).
