Avanci today announced that Jane Bu has joined the company as Senior Vice President, Licensing. In this role she will help lead the development of new licensing platforms and support existing licensing activities across Avanci’s growing portfolio of programs. Ms. Bu will report to Kasim Alfalahi, CEO of Avanci.

Ms. Bu brings more than two decades of experience designing and operating large-scale, multi-party patent licensing programs. She joins Avanci from Via Licensing Alliance (Via-LA), where she played a key role in developing and managing licensing programs spanning multiple industries and technology standards.

During her time at Via-LA, Ms. Bu gained extensive hands-on experience structuring and managing complex licensing programs. She has operated at the intersection of legal, technical, and commercial considerations, aligning diverse stakeholders around shared licensing frameworks.

Ms. Bu has also developed strong relationships across the global licensing community and brings significant experience working across international markets, particularly in Asia. Her understanding of regional licensing dynamics and relationship-driven negotiation norms will support Avanci’s continued global growth.
