Peter Singlehurst

Peter is the Head of Private Companies at Baillie Gifford and a Partner in the firm. He joined Baillie Gifford in 2010, began working on Private Companies in 2014, and founded the Private Companies team in 2017. Today, he sits on the Investment Committee for all Baillie Gifford’s dedicated Private investment funds.

Peter has led investments in high growth Private Companies around the world, including Avanci, Anduril, and Bending Spoons, as well as companies that have since transitioned to the public markets , such as Airbnb, Affirm, and Wise. 

He has a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, and an MA in Philosophy, both from the University of Durham.
