Akiko Nishitani is Senior Director, Licensing for Avanci in Japan, works with a range of stakeholders to support Avanci’s vision of transforming how patent licensing is done.
Akiko joined Avanci after a career including roles as a software engineer, a patent examiner for the Japanese Patent Office and as a patent attorney in private practice and in house. Prior to Avanci, Akiko worked on inbound and outbound patent licensing at Mitsubishi Electric.
With a bachelor’s in Political Science & Economics from Meiji University and a Master’s in IT from the Kanazawa Institute of Technology University, Akiko is based in Avanci’s Tokyo office.
