Senior Vice President, China Market Unit

Roger Tu is SVP & GM, China Market Unit for Avanci, working with a range of stakeholders to support Avanci’s vision of transforming how patent licensing is done. 

For more than 20 years, Roger has worked with technology companies to develop IP strategies at companies including Ericsson and MiiCS & Partners, and joined Avanci’s affiliate Marconi in 2018. With broad experience in patent licensing, IP monetization, professional network and corporate account management and IP business development, he has been deeply involved in licensing discussions in China and Taiwan.

Roger holds an MBA in Intellectual Property Rights from the National Cheng Chi University in Taiwan and a master’s degree in Economics and Marketing, Agriculture Economics from the National Chung Hsing University in Taiwan and a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Economics. Fluent in Chinese and English, he is a frequent speaker at events and conferences and he has been regularly recognized in the IAM Strategy 300 listing of IP strategists.
