Jillian Cocayne
Senior Director, Licensing, North America Market Unit
Jillian Cocayne is Senior Director of Licensing in the North America Market Unit at Avanci, supporting all Avanci businesses in North America, deepening the company’s relationships with licensees and licensors in the region.
Before joining Avanci, Jillian spent the majority of her 20+ year career in government affairs focused on technology and intellectual property policy, working in Washington DC, London and Brussels. In Brussels she had the opportunity to establish the European affairs office for InterDigital, a US R&D company, which is when she first began working on standard essential patent policy. In 2020, she took on the role of head of EU IP policy for Qualcomm and eventually returned to the United States in 2023.
Jillian has a Bachelor of Science degree from Bradley University. She is based in San Diego California.
