Judy Yee

Vice President, North America Market Unit

Judy Yee is Vice President and Head of North America Market Unit at Avanci, a leading, independent global provider of patent licensing platforms. In this role she supports the growth of all Avanci businesses in North America, deepening Avanci’s relationships with licensees and licensors.

Before joining Avanci, Judy spent 13 years at Microsoft, most recently as Assistant General Counsel, IP, where she led several teams of patent professionals and developed and executed SEP-related strategies to solve for legal risks impacting internal and external stakeholders.

Prior to Microsoft, Judy practiced law at Perkins Coie LLP and worked as an engineer at Intel.

Admitted to the Washington State Bar and licensed to practice before the USPTO, Judy has extensive experience in the business of intellectual property spanning patent portfolio development, licensing, M&A transactions and more. A regular conference speaker, Judy features in the IAM Strategy 300 list of leading IP professionals, and is a co-founder and board member of ADAPT.legal, a nonprofit which aims to increase diversity across patent teams.
